An Aging Population

Something to ponder – I saw a billboard in LA last weekend….it was for Prudential. It simply stated that the number of 100 year-olds is expected to double by 2020. It got me thinking as a brand marketer. Think of what that number will be in 2030, 2040, 2050! There is a huge demographic shift taking place in the US. Actually, it is happening globally too. Companies that address this tidal wave of older consumers will benefit. What does it mean to you? Think about it. It has affected me as a consumer. I am working hard to live better….from watching what I eat and drink, to working out more. Good companies are looking ahead to capitalize on this changing environment.
